Fabrication Operator II - 7:00am - 7:00pm - $20.50/hr.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Fabrication Operator to be based out of Binghamton NY. Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, this person will be responsible for safely bending standard sizes and radii of elbows/sweeps and packaging finished product in proper quantities for shipment. They will also keep work areas safe, clean, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Complete QA and Work Order paperwork correctly and accurately
• Produce quality swedge and repair couplings that meet or exceed QA specifications
• Test and measure product to ensure conformity with required specifications
• Able to change out bell pins and strip plates
• Able to safely produce straight cuts on both the table saw and chop saw
• Accurately record scrap product
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas
• Know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves and hi-vis clothing)
• All other assigned duties

Requirements

• Equivalent experience
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience preferred
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
• Works as a positive team member that helps lift others to a higher level

• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Physical stamina and strength

Pay

The current pay for this position is $20.50/hr. Placement depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
