Job Summary
Fabrication Operator II is responsible for the setup, adjustment and operation of all sizes of Punch Presses, Brake Presses, Laser, TruPunch and TruBend for sheet metal stamping and forming.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operation of feed system which includes Dereeler, Straightener, Feeder and oilers with little to no assistance.
- Ability to run multiple machines and assist others in setting up other machines.
- Certified to operator and use Jib Crane, overhead crane, Big Joe and other methods of motorized equipment to load and unload coil/material and parts.
- Identify room for improvements for daily tasks and have the ability to train others on most equipment.
- Can train others in using all measurement tools used in fabrication.
- Able to make good decisions based on daily tasks related to production.
- Follow safety policies and proactively identify safety improvements.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (completed); a technical degree and/or training is preferred.
- Proficient with computers to access documents related to work tasks and enter daily production numbers.
- Meet performance standards of assigned work and perform basic quality checks and understand key dimensions to ensure quality.
- Comprehend blueprints and work assignments.
- Basic Math skills to calculate precise dimensions needed to make a quality part.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
