Fabrication Operator

About the Role

The Fabrication Operator uses tube fabrication equipment such as saws, swagers, bending machines, and drills to process material in a way that meets customer specifications. Precise attention to detail and strict adherence to safety and quality standards are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of fabrication equipment in a job shop atmosphere
• Record accurate information for all production orders
• Keep work area clean throughout the day
• Report any quality-related problems to the Supervisor for resolution
• Provide cross training to others and be cross trained elsewhere as needed
• Attend all scheduled company & safety meetings
• Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times
• Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with other employees and supervisors
• Report any equipment problems to the Supervisor for immediate repair or schedule for repair

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work in a warehouse facility within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated/unheated and periodically noisy
• Fast-paced, moderately stressful, constantly changing day-to-day work environment
• Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to eight hours per shift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed
• Required to wear proper PPE at all times in the warehouse
• Willing to work overtime as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, interpret, and use tape measure and other tube fabrication equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Tubular USA operations, policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures
