Fabrication Manager

Duties/Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize fabricating efficiency.
• Cook with and without dollies in various types of weather.
• Coordinate with the Project Management team to review, interpret, and execute fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of fabrication equipment, scheduling maintenance and upgrades to minimize downtime.
• Facilitate communication between the fabrication department and other organizational units, such as sales, design, and customer service, to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
• Oversee the implementation of quality protocols and standards, conduct regular audits, optimize processes, and integrate feedback mechanisms to improve production quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Required Skills/Abilities: Quality control systems. Ability to operate power tools and other warehouse machinery with proper training. Blueprint reading. Production scheduling. Workforce training. Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
• Education And Experience: 10+ years in a construction field.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
