Fabrication Follow Engineering Lead
About the role
This role serves as the primary interface between APX Supply Chain and Engineering while providing technical guidance and resolving issues to keep manufacturing on schedule. The role leads the engineering teams in their reviews and route WPRO documentation, ensuring accurate workflow actions, and collaborates closely with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers to maintain technical compliance and document control throughout the PO lifecycle. The role ensures seamless coordination across teams to support timely, compliant delivery of critical components.
Responsibilities
- Cook up and approve engineering documents/drawings through Engineering
- Serve as a primary interface across internal engineers at all levels, supply chain, management, maintaining clear and effective communication channels
- Field high-level technical questions on design and fabrication topics, providing timely, accurate guidance
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional workstreams, adjusting priorities as needed to maintain progress against shifting program objectives
- Mentor, train, and develop new and growing team members to elevate overall team capability and technical proficiency
- Provide escalation support to APX engineering and leadership, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues impacting FFE activities
- Review supplier’s technical proposals against project requirements
- Lead supplier deviations and specification exceptions to resolution
- Manage WPRO document workflows—executing Forward, Bypass, or Transfer actions—while reinforcing strong document control discipline
- Partner with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers to ensure technical compliance, document traceability, and seamless execution throughout the PO and manufacturing lifecycle
Qualifications
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.

Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
Schedule
This role will be located at our Cranberry, PA facility and work in a hybrid capacity.
