About the role
The Fabrication and Machinist Lead is responsible for overseeing the fabrication and machining processes in the manufacturing department. This individual ensures that all projects are completed to high standards and within deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the fabrication and machining processes to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Manage and mentor a team of machinists and fabricators.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with engineers and other departments to resolve production issues and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication and/or machining.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machines and fabrication techniques.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
