About the Role

We are seeking a talented and innovative Fabric Pattern Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will create and develop unique fabric patterns that align with our brand and client vision. Your expertise in cutting table techniques and collaborative spirit will be essential as you work closely with designers, fabrication teams, and other internal and external clients to bring creative concepts to life.

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative solutions and develop prototypes for real-time event needs.
  • Engage team members and custom teams in brainstorming sessions to gather insights and ideas.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise and improve areas of productivity when possible.
  • Recognize defective fabric or inconsistencies in fabric and distinguish color variations.
  • Identify unusable fabric or fabric issues that may be production problems prior to cutting.
  • Maintain records of fabric patterns and modifications for additional sizes.
  • Stand, bend, twist, turn, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work comfortably in a high-energy, high-production environment that is ever-changing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist with other tasks when necessary.
  • Create digital cutting patterns.
  • Reverse engineer from concept to prototype.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully create new designs and concepts.
  • Knowledge of automated cutting equipment is desirable.
  • Experience with CAD, Adobe Illustrator, or similar software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with garment and/or drapery construction sewing.
  • Ability to create custom pattern shapes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various fabrics, including linings, interfacings, and handling unstable or specialty fabrics.
  • Good understanding of textile terminology and characteristics of woven and knit fabrics.
  • Familiarity with matching plaids, stripes, and pattern repeats.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Good work ethic, communication skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly to others and problem solve.

Pay

$80k–$85k
