AutoCAD Designer (CadWorx)

About the role

The AutoCAD Designer will be responsible for preparing clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings using CadWorx, with a focus on piping modeling in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in professional development.
• Champion company goals and processes.
• Participate in QA/QC to ensure consistency within the department.
• Work with Project teams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
• Clearly convey design philosophies, expectations, and timeline.
• Work with Project Drafting Lead to complete drafting assignments in a timely manner.
• Create and setup CAD files.
• Adhere to standards when creating/modifying drawings.
• Self-check drawings and models prior to delivery to Project Drafting Lead.
• Generate project deliverables utilizing Adobe Acrobat.
• Work within the estimated time constraints given by Project Drafting Lead.
• Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities.
• Treat all company information and customer information confidentially.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with a focus on piping modeling in CadWorx.
• A high level of organizational skills.
• An advanced user of Microsoft office suites.
• Effective communication and proactive participation.
• A willingness to grow skills, abilities, and knowledge.
• Strong performance in both individual and team environments.
• Able to take on additional responsibilities and assignments.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with fixed and tight deadlines.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines.
• Able to identify needs, develop solutions, and articulate ideas.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
• A self-starter mentality and effective time management.
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry practices and standards.
