Responsibilities

• Identify proper welding wire and alloy for the applicable base metal.
• Change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set proper tension on rollers.
• Set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed).
• Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal & Vertical Fillet Positions.
• Demonstrate competency in post‑welding treatment – brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality.
• Pass Welding Performance Test (given on‑site during interview process – Q.A. determination).
• Work in a fast‑paced assembly style facility.
• Handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift.

Requirements

• Ability to safely lift to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces while working.
• Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled temperatures.
• Commitment to participate in continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training desired with focus in welding.
• Welding certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a team‑based environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.

Pay

$19.58 per hour

Schedule

First Shift: 5 AM to 1 PM
