Schedule

• First Shift: 5 AM to 3 PM

Responsibilities

• Identify proper welding wire and alloy for the applicable base metal
• Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles, and set proper tension on rollers
• Set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed)
• Demonstrate competency in GMAW (MIG) techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal & Vertical Fillet Positions
• Demonstrate competency in post-welding treatment (e.g., brushing, cleaning, straightening, and weld quality)
• Pass Welding Performance Test (given on-site during the interview process, Q.A. determination)
• Work in a fast-paced assembly-style facility
• Handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift

Requirements

• Demonstrate the ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces while working
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures
• Commitment to participate in continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training with a focus in welding
• Welding certification
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
