FAB Shop Plumber (Cincinnati, OH)

Responsibilities

• Manage materials to ensure timely completion of the work scheduled and optimal material consumption.
• Strengthen skills to encourage improvement in other plumbers or fitters.
• Emphasize commitment to continually improve company procedures and processes through measurements, analysis, and procedural changes.
• Prioritize safety and safety practices in all task assignments.
• Ensure the quality and profitability of each project by eliminating waste in materials and labor.
• Serve as a coach by monitoring lower-echelon mechanic and helper production and quality workmanship.
• Provide continual training in areas needing improvement to ensure quality, production, and safety.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of prior construction or plumbing experience.
• Experience with PVC, Copper, Steel Pipe, and Fixture Carriers preferred.
• Stable work history.
• Able to use basic tools (hammer, tape measure, etc.).
• Honest, reliable, dependable, and display good character.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Journeyman Plumbing License preferred.
• Med Gas Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Eyesight correctable to 20/50.
• Able to stand for long hours.
• Lift items weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Must not be afraid of heights.

Special Requirements

Must provide their own basic hand tools.
