Utility Inspector- Fab Shop

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated piping, spools, valves, and components
• Verify compliance with ASME, API, and AWS codes and client specs
• Read and interpret isometrics, P&IDs, and fabrication packages
• Visually inspect welds prior to NDE; witness hydro/pneumatic testing
• Verify material traceability (MTRs, heat numbers) and conduct dimensional checks
• Maintain inspection records, NCRs, and daily reports
• Coordinate with QC managers and fabricators to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years fab shop, utility, or pipeline QC inspection experience
• CWI preferred; API 1169 a plus
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.8, API 1104, AWS D1.1
• OSHA 30 preferred
• Strong attention to detail, able to work independently
