FAB Shop Utility Technician

Essential Responsibilities

• Utilize a forklift to organize and stage truck equipment such as dump bodies and snowplows
• Use of basic hand tools to install parts and subassemblies
• Listen to and follow directions from supervisors
• Completes assigned tasks in a timely and safe manner
• Pick up and deliver parts/equipment when needed
• Perform general shop floor clean-up and maintenance
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic Computer skills and knowledge of Repair Order Processing Software
• The position requires the ability to operate motor vehicles and a safe driving record. Current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate mechanical tools such as wrenches, sockets, grips, air tools, and other basic shop tools
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability requires a person to bend, twist, squat, and reach to perform tasks
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60lbs unassisted
