About the role
The SIUE School of Nursing is seeking full-time, non-tenure academic year term instructor appointments for the 2026-2027 academic year. Full-time faculty are expected to demonstrate competent teaching across the curriculum, maintain a program of scholarship, and engage in service to the School of Nursing and other constituencies.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competent teaching across didactic, clinical, and online settings in both graduate and undergraduate programs.
- Maintain a program of scholarship relevant to nursing practice, the nursing profession, and nursing education.
- Engage in service to the School of Nursing and other relevant constituencies.
Qualifications
- A Master’s of Science in Nursing is required.
- A Doctorate is preferred but not required.
- Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience are required.
- A Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DNS, DNSc, DNP) is required for any graduate faculty position.
- Previous teaching experience in a baccalaureate program and research experience are preferred but not required.
- Pediatrics, maternal child, public health, medical-surgical, nurse practitioner, health care informatics, nursing administration, or school nurse education and experience are highly desirable.
- Practice experience in the specialty area being applied for is required.
- RN licensure in Illinois and Missouri is required.
