About the role

The SIUE School of Nursing is accepting resume packages for full-time, non-tenure, academic year term instructor appointments for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competent teaching across the curriculum, including didactic, clinical, and online settings in both graduate and undergraduate programs.
• Maintain a program of scholarship relevant to the practice of nursing, the nursing profession, and/or the education of nurses.
• Engage in service to the School of Nursing and other constituencies relevant to the mission of the organization.

Qualifications

• A Master’s of Science in Nursing is required.
• A doctorate is preferred but not required.
• Two (2) years of experience in clinical nursing are required.
• A doctorate (PhD, EdD, DNS, DNSc, DNP) is required for any graduate faculty position.
• Previous teaching experience in a baccalaureate program and research experience are preferred but not required.
• Pediatrics, maternal child, public health, medical-surgical, nurse practitioner, health care informatics, nursing administration, or school nurse education and experience are highly desirable.
• Practice experience in the specialty area being applied for is required.
• RN licensure in Illinois and Missouri is required.
