Responsibilities

  • Performs the duties of Module Lead for the PeopleSoft Student Administration Financial Aid Module.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for internal questions regarding systems processing and production issues.
  • Supervise, plan and direct the work of the Assistant Module Lead, and other financial aid systems staff.
  • In coordination with other Module Lead(s) act as point of contact for cross modular support and CMS (Chancellor’s Office Systems Team) Support.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of on-line student information system (PeopleSoft preferred) and imaging systems. Knowledge of standard financial aid processing systems, applications and verification procedures. Knowledge and experience with PS Query Tool, SQL, SQR preferred. Demonstrated subject matter expertise of financial aid to support administration and compliance of federal, state, and institutional regulations and processes. Proven ability to analyze user needs and translate into detailed technical specifications. Proven ability to design, create, implement and maintain complex technical rules in support of business processes. Demonstrated ability to analyze data requirements and research data availability and access methods. Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflow. Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments without detailed instructions. Strong analytical skills are required to ensure that assessment of issue resolution, project planning, and accurate reporting (internal and external) are adequately achieved to support office goals and priorities. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience.

Pay

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources. Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $7,284 - $7,429 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $7,284 to $10,611 per month.

Schedule

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date. Classification Business Systems Analyst III
