F&B Restaurant Server (BELL GARDENS, CA. 90201)
About the role
We are seeking a team player for the F&B Restaurant Server position who is ready to go the extra mile on every occasion to delight and astound our guests, and someone who will always look for opportunities to improve our service.
Responsibilities
- Functions as an integral part of the F&B team by providing customer service and ensuring that meals and beverages are served according to the casino's established standards of service.
- Takes orders, delivers meals and drinks and meets the required standards of performance by meeting policies, procedures, work instructions, training initiatives, codes of conduct and other directives.
- Maintains positive customer relations at all times. Anticipates customers’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges all customers at all times.
- Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality, standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
- Responds quickly to and resolves any complaints to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
- While working on the casino floor, follows all casino guidelines pertaining to security and is sensitive to each customer’s gaming experience.
- Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, retrieving food orders from kitchen, promptly cleaning tables after each customer, adhering to proper cash and credit card handling policies, emptying trash containers, ensuring maximum usage and efficiency of all supplies, following suggested up-selling techniques, etc.
Requirements
- Must be available to work all shifts supporting a 24/7 environment.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
- Must have a RBS Certification (Responsible Beverage Service).
- Must possess a California Food Handler Card.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Skills
- Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
- Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Additional Information
- Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Experience: 2-4 years experience in an environment of comparable quality or equivalent.
- Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 25 pounds. Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
