Job Responsibilities
- Oversight of a team of employees including hiring, development, scheduling, and training
- Ensuring high levels of service in all aspects of operations
- Providing each guest with a memorable dining experience
- Handling daily cash deposits
- Assisting with kitchen prep work or plating
- Maintaining cleanliness of front of the house areas
- Assigning service-related tasks to servers
- Checking out servers and bartenders at the end of their shift
- Bussing tables and assisting with processing dirty dishes
- Ensuring dining tables are properly prepared for service
- Communicating current menu choices, specials, and menu deviations to staff
- Opening and pouring wine at tableside
- Assisting with special events as needed
- Greeting guests warmly with an appropriate greeting
- Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager
- Anticipating and addressing guests' service needs
Job Qualifications
- Three years of prior leadership experience in the food and beverage industry preferred
- Knowledge of proper food handling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance with flexibility to work varied days and shifts, including holidays
- Proper food safety training and certification as required by law
- Experience using computers (MS Office/Google), POS systems, and reservations software
- Familiarity with basic cooking skills
