F-35 Deputy Program Manager- Crystal City, VA
About the role
This contract provides program management support in support of the full acquisition life-cycle of the F-35 program, to include development, production, and sustainment. As the Deputy Program Manager, you will lead a large team of highly skilled professionals providing program management, systems analysis, configuration management, affordability analysis, requirements analysis, acquisition management, and foreign military sales acquisition support.
Responsibilities
- Lead a large team of highly skilled professionals providing program management, systems analysis, configuration management, affordability analysis, requirements analysis, acquisition management, and foreign military sales acquisition support.
- Provide contract management support under this contract. This includes, but is not limited to, the management and oversight of all activities performed by Contractor personnel, including subcontractors, to ensure all Program Management services satisfy the requirements identified in this Statement of Work (SOW) and resulting Task Orders (TOs).
- Facilitate communications between the Government and the Contractor’s team along with all activities necessary to ensure the accomplishment of timely and effective support, performed in accordance with the requirements contained in the contract.
- Assist the Program Manager in all aspects of contract and program management to include sourcing, interviewing, and hiring new staff members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems within the F-35 program management contract support services contract.
- Provide analysis and solution recommendations.
- Expertise and work efforts are focused on the analysis of customer's business goals, objectives, needs, and the general business environment to solve technical problems.
- Support areas such as product implementation, enhancement, integration, or audits.
- Prepare a variety of supporting materials to include meeting agendas, meeting minutes, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, In-Progress Reviews (IPRs), and other documents as needed.
- Lead and coordinate meetings with the customer across all organizational levels.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture that enhances confidence, strengthens capabilities, and promotes continuous improvement by prioritizing employee development and well-being through regular, meaningful feedback sessions.
- Enhance new hire engagement and support retention initiatives by guiding new team members in achieving their development goals.
Qualifications
- The ability to provide onsite support at the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) located in Crystal City, VA no less than 2-days per week, each week and may increase up to 5x/week in the office per the needs of the Customer.
- An active DoD Secret security clearance.
- A United States Citizenship.
- A Masters Degree (Business, Engineering, or Related Discipline).
- Or a Bachelors Degree with a total of 12 years of work experience related to the labor category.
- 8 years Defense Acquisitions Management experience.
- 4 years managing a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP).
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience dealing with DoD reporting tools and major reports.
- Experience with weapon systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability.
- Demonstrated knowledge of / experience with implementation of DODI 5000 series.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
- The ability to travel up to 10%.

Actual base salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations.
