Eye Care Educator
Role Overview
Lead and Empower: Educate Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on essential eye exams for patients—highlighting their importance—and offer clear, actionable guidance for communicating results to patients and Hem/Oncology teams.
Impactful Training: Deliver tailored educational materials that equip Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with a thorough understanding of critical patient care procedures.
Collaborate for Clarity: Partner with Oncology Account Managers and the Medical team to ensure seamless communication of product-related information, including REMS details, in alignment with FDA guidance.
Support Care Coordination as needed
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree: A 4-year BA/BS degree is required.
- 3+ years in optometry, ophthalmology, or nursing, with a focus on oncology or specialized medical education.
- Alternatively, 1–3 years of direct clinical oncology experience, including oncology education, patient care, and interaction with physicians.
- Advanced Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain complex oncology concepts to Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborative Expertise: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in developing and delivering product-specific training and educational materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively across all levels of management and departments.
Desired Requirements
- Specialty pharmacy/payer experience is preferred.
- CRN, NPs, PAs with eye care experience is highly preferred.
Pay
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $160,000-$167,500. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
