Eye Care Educator
About the role
As an Eye Care Educator at Syneos Health, you will provide critical support to educate and inspire Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on the essential role they play in caring for cancer patients with Relapsed Refractory Multiple Myeloma (RRMM). This includes training on necessary eye exams and their importance. You will work closely with Hematology/Oncology teams to empower healthcare professionals to effectively counsel patients on ocular adverse events (OAEs) and communicate results to patients and Hem/Oncology teams.
- Lead and empower ECPs by educating them on essential eye exams for patients, highlighting their importance, and offering clear, actionable guidance for communicating results.
- Deliver tailored educational materials to equip Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with a thorough understanding of critical patient care procedures.
- Collaborate with Oncology Account Managers and the Medical team to ensure seamless communication of product-related information, including REMS details, in alignment with FDA guidance.
- Support care coordination as needed.
Requirements
- A 4-year Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is required.
- 3+ years of experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or nursing, with a focus on oncology or specialized medical education.
- Alternatively, 1–3 years of direct clinical oncology experience, including oncology education, patient care, and interaction with physicians.
- Advanced communication skills to clearly explain complex oncology concepts to ECPs and other key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in developing and delivering product-specific training and educational materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging across all levels of management and departments.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Specialty pharmacy or payer experience is preferred.
- Certified Registered Nurse (CRN), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), or Physician Assistants (PAs) with eye care experience are highly preferred.
