Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Technology practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. This role is focused on advising the Private Equity sector.

Responsibilities

  • Work day to day with investment teams, operating partners, and C-Suite executives at middle market Portfolio companies.
  • Develop and execute strategies for transactions.
  • Develop experience in different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, value creation).
  • Have a commercial mindset to this role.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information and Operations Management, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Significant management consulting experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Interest in understanding of how Private Equity dynamics work, navigating stakeholders across investment teams, operating partners/advisors, and leaders at the Portfolio Companies.
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Expertise in a minimum of 4 of the following IT skillsets:
    • IT strategy
    • Enterprise architecture
    • Infrastructure and cloud architecture
    • Cyber and IAM architecture
    • Digital Technology Strategy
    • Digital IT operating model transformation
    • IT cost reduction
    • IT security / cyber
    • IT shared services
    • IT organization transformation
    • ERP implementation
    • Digital business enablement using digital technology enablers (i.e., advanced analytics, robotic process automation, virtual reality)
    • Cloud SaaS or PaaS (including Collaboration) strategy and delivery
    • Cloud IaaS or Data Center migration planning and execution
    • Identity and Access Management (IAM) / Active Directory services strategy
    • IT service management
    • Operations Center (e.g., NOC, SOC) or Managed Service Provider
    • IT TSA development
    • IT finance management
    • IT infrastructure management
    • IT outsourcing / offshoring
    • IT contract management
    • IT or Cyber Diligence
    • IT synergy identification
    • Data governance, separation, and transition
    • Integration and Separation Planning

Qualifications

  • A proven record of excellence in an IT transactions role.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $205,000 to $235,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Schedule

We offer a flexible vacation policy where you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
