Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Management – Financial Services practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions in the financial services sector. You will prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions and people.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of projects supporting our client service team in developing strategies for transactions.
- Prepare and execute separation and integration plans.
- Identify ideas and sources of value enhancement.
- Advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions and people.
- Develop experience across a range of different types of engagements including pre and post deal phases.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
- MBA is preferred.
- Experience in a consulting environment working with financial services clients, including banking, capital markets, asset management, and/or insurance.
- Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
- Solid negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
Qualifications
- You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
Desired Skills
- Previous experience in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
- Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
Pay
$130,000 to $185,000 per year.
Schedule
Hybrid model with most people in external, client serving roles working together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
