Responsibilities
- Develop highly sought-after analytical skills while solving a broad range of business issues for Fortune 500 companies, small and middle-sized enterprises, and leading private equity firms.
- Assist clients both in and outside of an M&A transaction.
- Work with large datasets, including performing data extraction, transformation, modelling, data visualization, benchmarking, and various descriptive and predictive analyses to help clients make better decisions.
- Leverage data analytics tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, Excel, and data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Collaborate with highly talented colleagues on challenging, fast-paced, and complex assignments.
- Present findings in a way that is easily understood by technical and nontechnical audiences at all levels.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- Demonstrated interest in working at the intersection of business, data analytics, and consulting with a focus on M&A.
- Sufficient business acumen and critical thinking skills to draw and synthesize meaningful insights from robust underlying data relevant to clients.
- Experience with or interest in working with alternative data sets to draw insights on competitive positioning and company performance.
- Ability to manage and work with large datasets (e.g., data wrangling/transformation/structuring) as well as perform relevant analyses.
- Experience with or understanding of relational databases/data models.
- Understanding of basic financial, accounting, and business terminology.
- Passion for solving real business issues and gaining deep experience in various industries and functional areas (e.g., go-to-market, supply chain, operations, corporate finance).
- Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment under time-sensitive client deadlines.
- Ability to interact, communicate, and present effectively with internal teams/supervisors as well as external clients.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $70,800 to $116,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $84,900 to $132,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
Schedule
- Team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model with an expectation for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
