Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical skills while solving a broad range of business issues for Fortune 500 companies, small and middle-sized enterprises, and leading private equity firms.
  • Support clients both in and outside of M&A transactions by performing data extraction, transformation, modeling, visualization, benchmarking, and descriptive/predictive analyses.
  • Leverage tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Work on challenging, fast-paced, and complex assignments with highly talented colleagues.
  • Present findings in a clear and compelling manner to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
  • Utilize alternative data sets to assess competitive positioning and company performance.

Requirements

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary (travel may extend beyond your work location based on client and project needs).
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have:

  • A preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Demonstrated interest in working at the intersection of business, data analytics, and consulting with a focus on M&A.
  • Business acumen and critical thinking skills to synthesize meaningful insights from robust data.
  • Experience with or interest in working with alternative data sets for competitive positioning and performance analysis.
  • Ability to manage and work with large datasets, including data wrangling, transformation, and structuring.
  • Experience with or understanding of relational databases and data models.
  • Basic knowledge of financial, accounting, and business terminology.
  • Passion for solving real business issues across various industries and functional areas (e.g., go-to-market, supply chain, operations, corporate finance).
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment under time-sensitive client deadlines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of leveraging firm-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in the U.S. is $70,800 to $116,900. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $84,900 to $132,800. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Schedule

This role operates under a team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Most people in external, client-serving roles are expected to work in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
