About the Role
EY-Parthenon combines transformative strategy, transactions, and corporate finance to deliver practical solutions. As a Transaction Analytics Associate, you'll develop analytical skills while addressing business issues for diverse clients, including Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms. You'll work with large datasets, perform data extraction, transformation, modeling, visualization, and analyses to support decision-making in and outside of M&A transactions.
Responsibilities
- Perform data extraction, transformation, modeling, visualization, benchmarking, and descriptive/predictive analyses.
- Utilize tools like Alteryx, SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI to manage and analyze large datasets.
- Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
- Work on fast-paced, complex assignments with highly talented colleagues.
- Help clients make better decisions by leveraging data analytics skills.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now and in the future.
Qualifications
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- Interest in the intersection of business, data analytics, and consulting, with a focus on M&A.
- Business acumen and critical thinking skills to draw insights from data.
- Experience or interest in working with alternative datasets for competitive and performance insights.
- Ability to manage and analyze large datasets (e.g., data wrangling, transformation, structuring).
- Understanding of relational databases/data models.
- Basic knowledge of financial, accounting, and business terminology.
- Passion for solving real business issues across industries and functional areas.
- Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of leveraging AI tools like Microsoft Copilot in a business setting.
Pay
The base salary range for this role is $70,800 to $116,900 in most U.S. locations, and $84,900 to $132,800 in the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento). Salaries are determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, and geography.
