EY-Parthenon - Corporate Finance - Quantitative Finance and Economics - Senior Associate
About the role
EY-Parthenon's Quantitative Finance & Economics team advises clients on corporate finance and the valuation of complex financial instruments. We work on a variety of financial instruments and purposes including corporate finance strategy, M&A transactions, and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on corporate finance and the valuation of complex financial instruments.
- Conducting research on the fixed income and equity markets and on individual companies.
- Developing valuation models, including binomial lattice and Monte Carlo simulation models.
- Using proprietary valuation models for valuing financial instruments, estimating market parameters and inputs for valuation models.
- Analyzing financial instruments using data visualization tools, modern statistics, and machine learning techniques.
- Presenting results and findings to the team and to clients.
- Analyzing and performing due diligence on credit and expected losses.
- Working with clients to establish valuation processes and documentation.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 1 year of related work experience; or an advance degree (master’s or Ph D.) in a quantitative discipline, such as finance, mathematics, statistics, financial engineering, engineering or economics.
- Demonstrated aptitude to quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial instruments which may include options, warrants, fixed income & hybrid securities, structured products and other derivatives.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Matlab, or VBA.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, or Capital IQ is a plus.
- Experience in developing web-based applications and working with large datasets is a plus.
- Ability to work within a given budget and schedule, providing top-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team prioritizing multiple tasks, deadlines, and project stakeholders.
- A strong work ethic, strong communications skills, and demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic environment full of new challenges and ideas.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $113,100 to $186,700. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $135,700 to $212,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
