Core Responsibilities
- Value and promote a safe working environment.
- Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
- Provides continuous training, technical guidance, and support to Extrusion Operators.
- Owner of SUR (Scrap/Utilization/Rate) metrics and Quality results.
- Possess a Strong mechanical aptitude; understand manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and communicate with various levels of the organization to professionally drive improvements.
- Performs audit of process set point control and operator reports.
- Ensures audit Bills of Process and Standard Operating Procedures are utilized and improved upon when necessary.
- Acts as primary contact with Process Technician for issues/projects, Quality team for product quality issues, and Maintenance Technician for improvements and work order completion.
- Executes minor maintenance and assists Maintenance Technician if necessary.
- Serves as a key contributor to line commissioning after maintenance/process events.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment OR running an extrusion line.
- Experience OR ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work a rotating 12-hour shift.
- Willing and able to wear all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety procedures.
- Willing and able to work in a smoke-free environment.
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, standing, kneeling, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
