Extrusion Stackers - 2nd & 3rd Shift

About the Role

Hampel Corporation, a leading thermoforming manufacturer with over 50 years of experience, is seeking Extrusion Stackers to join our Extrusion team. This full-time, hourly position works under the Extrusion Tech with final approval by the Shift Team Lead, focusing on stacking, packaging, and quality control of extruded sheets.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, or stack materials or extruded sheet.
• Collect and process edge trim as required.
• Assist in starting up the production line.
• Support the Extrusion Tech and Operator as needed.
• Ensure packaging complies with product specifications.
• Maintain proper packing, legible labels, and accurate records.
• Verify sheets are correctly labeled with thickness, size, and color.
• Monitor sheet appearance for quality, including optical inspection, masking application, saw cut, dimensions, stacking, and package appearance.
• Identify and report defective products following QC procedures for non-conforming sheets.
• Maintain effective working relationships with department employees.
• Keep work areas neat and orderly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and use required safety supplies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Knowledge of plastics and extrusion preferred.
• Ability to use and read calipers, tape measure, micrometer, and velocity gauge.
