About the Role

Results-driven professional dedicated to constant learning and training. Spends time assisting operators on the path to excellent yields by removing obstacles and suggesting 7 Step & 5S opportunities. Must have excellent equipment acumen, with the ability to be creative and troubleshoot when necessary. Requires technical aptitude, a people-centric approach, and the ability to help lead a team to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees extrusion operations, equipment maintenance, quality, waste/scrap, documentation, and production output.
  • Responsible for key performance metrics, communicating successes and concerns to all levels of the department.
  • Provides leadership to engineers, managers, supervisors, and operators to meet targets and remove obstacles.
  • Helps supervisor develop staffing requirements and equipment assignments.
  • Trains team members on machine operations, processes, and procedures (SOPs).
  • Assists in procedure documentation and training development.
  • Provides training, guidance, and direction to operators.
  • Conducts quality checks, assists in root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and reporting issues to supervisors; helps implement corrective actions.
  • Acts as liaison between production operations and Lead/Supervisor, maintaining communication between shift operations.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime.
  • Must be able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Machine operations experience, working independently and in a team environment.
  • Medical devices experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people.
