Extrusion Operator

About the role

Operate and troubleshoot extruders to produce polymer products, ensuring quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Trelleborg safety and work procedures to ensure a safe, productive work environment; check to ensure all safety guards are in place and working properly.
• Perform setup and operate extruder to produce product according to quality, production, and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and other production related issues.
• Detect and solve problems related to product quality, aesthetics, and/or contamination.
• Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, quantities, dimensions, and flow of materials or raw materials.
• Record and maintain production data.
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities.
• Assist in training other team members.
• Inspect quality of equipment before production begins and continuously check quality of the line as product is produced using required QC equipment such as calipers, rulers (in, mm and m), and comparators.
• Ensure material meets customer requirements.
• Complete all required paperwork and forms.
