About the role

This is an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician III position supporting manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include adjusting and repairing equipment, diagnosing complex electro-mechanical problems, and maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
  • Repair and maintain mechanical machine components in top operating condition
  • Apply advanced understanding of electrical principles (voltage, current, resistance)
  • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • Troubleshoot motor control circuits, programmable drives, and PLC inputs/outputs
  • Complete projects to add electrical circuits, controls, new equipment, and relocate machines
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders and other components
  • Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
  • Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
  • Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
  • Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and collaborate with QA
  • Train Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3-7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
  • Strict adherence to safety policies/procedures and commitment to customer quality
  • Available for regular standby assignments, off-hours work, and emergency overtime
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Willing to attend training sessions, including out-of-state locations
  • Ability to assist in training Level I and II Technicians
  • Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (e.g., welding, basic machining)
  • Strong work ethic and intermediate troubleshooting skills
  • Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, including cooperative relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

  • Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform heavy physical work with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions
  • Use of varied hand and power tools, drive motor vehicles, light construction equipment, fork trucks, and platform lifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, including above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Regularly required to walk, use hands/fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear
  • Frequently required to stand and sit for long periods; occasionally climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Exposure to variable temperatures, chemicals, and rotating shifts

Work Environment

Mainly a manufacturing facility with exposure to moving mechanical parts, forklifts, heavy pallets, moderate to loud noise, and airborne dust, powders, and fumes. Required to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., clothing, gloves, goggles, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant aprons) based on work area or task.

Pay

Pay range starts at $28.50–$40 per hour plus a $2.50 per hour shift differential.

Schedule

Rotational Night Shift: 6pm–6am (2-2-3 schedule).
