Extruder Operator

Essential Functions

• Effectively communicate with management, other operators and lab technicians
• Follow all safety policies and procedures closely, actively look for potentially hazardous conditions and report such in a timely manner
• Execute all phases of extruder operation
• Perform preventative maintenance duties on extruders
• Accurately and neatly complete required paperwork
• Document daily activities, running conditions, etc.
• Display ability to minimize excessive scrap and downtime

Required Skills And Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 80 lbs. at waist level, up to 80 lbs. at floor level, and up to 40 lbs. at elevated level on a rare basis when moving products
• Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasks
• Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products
• S stoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling products
• Reach forward and to the side on an occasional basis when handling products
• Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shift
• Climb steps on an occasional basis
• Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per shift
• Able to be on feet for up to 8-12 hours per shift
• Climb steps/ladders on an occasional basis
