Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 2 years’ plastics experience required
- Standard knowledge in plastics and extrusion
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use and read measuring devices
- Ability to acquire a HILO license
Special Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for up to 12-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use various hand tools
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Adjust, calibrate and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature and general operation
- Set the dials and controls on the machine to ensure that the created product is the right size, shape and thickness
- Measure and complete orientation test to make sure sheet conforms to the requested specifications
- Follow standardized work instructions
- Fully participate in and support the Corvac Quality System
- Ensure that the sheet has no defects and meets quality standards
- Complete accurate documentation for all required areas per shift
- Maintain a safe, well organized and efficient work area
- Perform PMs as required
