Extract-Prep Oper

Principal Accountabilities

• Operate all equipment associated with the solvent extraction process: including extractors, distillation, skim pit and mineral oil systems.
• Operate all equipment associated with the prep process, including flakers, expellers, decanters, and lab analysis equipment.
• Monitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirements.
• Process samples utilizing lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet and collect samples for several process areas
• Control traffic through department and ensure that all visitors follow Extraction safety rules.
• Troubleshoot minor problems as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
• Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
• Basic use of a computer
• Computer literate including being able to enter and retrieve data
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
