About the role
The External Communications Specialist creates impactful, high-quality content across Enhabit Home Health & Hospice’s external channels and marketing materials, working closely with key partners to drive brand awareness through strategic content.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling content in brand voice and maintain an external content calendar in collaboration with department management that schedules all aspects of content creation and delivery throughout the year.
- Develop content for the company’s website, blog, and social media channels targeting a wide variety of external audiences.
- Use targeted keywords to write search engine optimized content for the company blog and website.
- Brainstorm, write, and revise content for external audiences including patients, investors, referral sources, and other partners.
- Proofread, review, and edit all content for accurate use of grammar, brand voice, AP style, and additional content guidelines.
- Translate the company’s key messaging and strategic initiatives into effective communications for external audiences.
- Research and develop articles, resource materials, and other relevant content for external audiences.
- Assist with creation of presentations, white papers, brochures, flyers, and other materials for external audiences.
- Break down complex topics into compelling, easy-to-understand messages.
- Develop video scripts that convey brand voice and strategy for external audiences.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or related field required, or three to five years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Three to five years of related work experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AP style in written communication.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Previous experience in health care, home health, or hospice preferred.
- Valid state driver license.
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
