About the role

This position is located in the Tillman County Extension Office, Frederick, Oklahoma. Position provides leadership to agricultural and 4-H youth development programs in a dual assignment with approximately 50% of time spent in agriculture and 50% of time spent in 4-H youth development work. Participates as a cohesive team member to involve local clientele and advisory groups to plan, implement, and evaluate the total OSU Extension County program.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership to agricultural and 4-H youth development programs
  • Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating the total OSU Extension County program
  • Communicate effectively and foster a professional image of OCES both internally and externally
  • Adapt to changing priorities, situations, and day-to-day demands
  • Manage time and resources effectively
  • Build and maintain relationships with clientele, advisory groups, volunteer leaders, and other professionals
  • Use computing and computer-based communications technology effectively
  • Design, promote, present, and evaluate educational programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or closely related field (must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Valid Drivers License; reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties. Reimbursement for official travel.

Benefits

Base annual salary for entry level educators who have a bachelor’s degree is $44,000; a master’s degree is $50,000. Starting salary is based upon education and prior relevant work experience. Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance, and available county funding.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
