Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends.

Pay

$15.00 – $18.00 hourly.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support for extension educators located in the McCurtain County Extension Office.
  • Maintains accurate and updated agency accounts, including purchases, deposits, and travel.
  • Performs and/or delegates database entry and management relative to extension programs.
  • Uses Microsoft Office and other software to assist in daily activities.
  • Understands and interprets OSU, County, and Extension regulations, policies, and office procedures for efficient office management.
  • Acts as liaison between county, district, or state offices as appropriate.
  • Displays courteous and effective communication while fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, and responding to oral and written requests.
  • Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance, and available county funding.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (must be conferred on or before the agreed-upon start date).
  • One year of clerical or customer service experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties (reimbursement provided for official travel).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Quicken.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
