Key Responsibilities & Grant Actions
- Contribute to the grant writing process by documenting partnership achievements, gathering testimonials, and providing data on industry demand to support future funding applications.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new middle school CTE modules by coordinating logistics for student participation and tracking engagement.
- Proactively identify, recruit, and onboard new business and industry partners across key sectors in the region.
- Work with stakeholders to match students with appropriate extended learning opportunities based on their career interests, skills, and academic needs (Target: 150 placements over 5 years).
- Oversee all logistical aspects of ELOs, including student-employer agreements, transportation, safety protocols, and student progress tracking.
- Plan and organize career "discovery days," industry guest speakers, and virtual tours for both middle and high school students.
- Administer and analyze post-placement employer surveys to report on employer satisfaction (Target: 90% satisfaction rating).
- Collaborate with instructors to ensure student pursuit of industry-recognized certifications is aligned with employer needs.
- Collaborate with the School Counselor to expand dual enrollment opportunities and assist with post-secondary readiness and application support.
- Manage the implementation of "bridge programs" for high school students transitioning to college and for middle school students entering high school CTE programs.
- Track student participation in the Student Leadership & Innovation Incubator and Civic & Community Engagement Initiatives, collecting data on outcomes and impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, student advising, or career counseling, preferably in an educational setting.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
- Must hold, or be able to obtain CHRC certification.
