About the role

We are inviting professionals with a background in full-cycle sales and education/edtech who are thinking about their next move or looking for a new opportunity. This does not necessarily mean we have a current opening. We are expanding our talent pool for our ongoing Sales Representative openings across the United States in our different segments including School, SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise sales.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key decision makers at the school district level
  • Sell Newsela’s suite of products to bring engaging reading content to districts
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of a sale, from pipeline management to forecasting and lead generation campaigns
  • Become well-versed in your territory’s funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape
  • Represent the future of education, enhance how schools & districts and teachers engage students, and provide time-saving approaches that allow educators to design customized learning for different levels of learners
  • Own your territory, manage the entire lifecycle of a sale, and build new business relationships that bring Newsela’s solution to classrooms
  • Work with an enthusiastic, cross-functional team to catapult Newsela’s growth as we scale our national sales organization

Requirements

  • A strong background in lead generation and business development
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking, prospecting, building pipeline, forecasting accuracy, and closing
  • Knowledge of MEDDPICC or other sales methodology
  • Experience forecasting SaaS business
  • Drive, self-awareness, and coachability

Qualifications

  • School Sales Rep: Proven Sales Rep with 1+ years hitting or exceeding your quota of selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to schools
  • SMB Sales Rep: Proven new business focused Sales Rep with 2+ years hitting or exceeding your quota of selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to districts
  • Mid-Market Sales Rep: Proven, new business focused Sales Rep with 3+ years hitting or exceeding your quota of selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to districts
  • Enterprise Sales Rep: Proven, new business focused Sales Rep with 5+ years hitting or exceeding your quota of selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to districts

Skills

  • Strong background in lead generation and business development
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking, prospecting, building pipeline, forecasting accuracy, and closing

Pay

  • School Base: $60,000
  • Smb Base: $70,000
  • Mid-Market Base: $100,000
  • Enterprise Base: $125,000

  • We are a fully remote company. We provide a monthly tech stipend to support your WFH needs!
