Express Lane Advisor

About the role
The Express Lane Advisor schedules express services such as oil changes and tire work, collaborates with the main shop service advisor on repairs, and identifies and documents customer service needs. You’ll provide an outstanding customer experience, communicate with customers and technicians, and help maintain dealership standards for repair and production.
Responsibilities
- Provide an outstanding customer experience
- Schedule appointments with customers
- Greet customers upon arrival with a friendly welcome
- Advise customers on necessary and recommended services
- Work with customers and technicians to identify required maintenance
- Communicate with customers through video and text
- Offer additional services and repairs to customers
- Compute cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to customer-specified condition
- Estimate costs of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs
- Enter itemized estimates on service orders and explain them to customers
- Coordinate service and reconditioning of pre-owned inventory
- Maintain dealership’s standards for repair and order production
- Keep CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) at or above company standards
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Participate in required training
- Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system
- Follow safeguards rules and regulations
- Demonstrate the company’s core values
- Comply with company policies and procedures, and observe all federal, state, local, and company safety rules
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in express service scheduling
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal vehicle for transportation to and from work
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
- Ability and knowledge of dealership management systems and other web-based applications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Effective communication with customers and company personnel
- Regular and predictable attendance
Schedule
Typical day starts between 7:00 AM and 7:15 AM, with doors opening at 7:30 AM. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours and weekends. The dealership is closed on Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. No Sundays.
