Explosives Safety Engineer

About the role

Responsible for ensuring compliance with all explosives safety regulations and guidelines. Conducts inspections, reviews documentation, and provides recommendations to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Conducts inspections of explosive storage facilities and operations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Reviews and evaluates safety protocols and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
• Develops and implements safety training programs for employees.
• Collaborates with regulatory agencies to address safety concerns and ensure compliance.
• Monitors and reports on safety incidents and near-misses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on safety or explosives.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in explosives safety or related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with safety software and databases.
• Strong attention to detail.

Pay

• $80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
