Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Systems Architect personnel supporting enterprise architecture initiatives.
- Direct the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures aligned to enterprise architecture and mission requirements.
- Ensure architecture artifacts maintain traceability to enterprise architecture frameworks and governance standards.
- Analyze user requirements, system capabilities, workflows, and operational constraints to improve system design and performance.
- Evaluate and guide modernization of existing systems, applications, and infrastructure services.
- Develop and oversee solution architecture designs across applications, APIs, data services, platform services, and cloud environments.
- Recommend architectural changes based on requirements analysis, emerging technologies, and mission needs.
- Ensure alignment of architecture development with DoDAF and IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG) standards.
- Guide integration of enterprise architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Lead technical assessments supporting trade studies and architecture decision-making.
- Advise Government stakeholders on architecture strategy, modernization, and enterprise alignment.
- Support alignment of enterprise architecture with mission CONOPS and strategic objectives.
- Cook up architecture activities across multiple programs and mission stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight for architecture documentation and lifecycle governance.
- Mentor and guide senior, mid, and junior architecture staff across enterprise programs.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully pass a polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM field.
- Equivalent additional experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
- 18+ years of experience in government or industry supporting Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, DoDAF, or IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
- Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.
- Previous Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program or project experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise or solution architectures in complex mission environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and governance processes.
- Experience supporting cloud, hybrid, and on-premises enterprise architecture environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience guiding architecture teams and enterprise technical direction.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
- Certified Enterprise Architect credential (e.g., National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace Enterprise Architecture Certification).
- Experience applying DoDAF and IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG) in enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting GEOINT enterprise architecture development (GEA).
- Experience conducting architecture trade studies and decision analysis at the enterprise level.
- Familiarity with cloud-native and hybrid enterprise architecture modernization efforts.
