Expert System Administrator (Virtual Infrastructure & Cluster Ma with Security Clearance

About the role

The System Administrator shall maintain existing customer network resources located XX miles from NSAW. Responsible for supporting servers, current hardware, storage, virtual infrastructures with VMs, new hardware, and resources. Responsible for day-to-day operations, creating/deleting VMs, security updates, troubleshooting, resolving issues, managing tickets (Jira).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer systems and networks (monitoring, patching, troubleshooting)
• Maintaining and deploying VMs. Able to build VMs.
• Absorb and deploy new hardware and resources.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including creating/deleting VMs, security updates, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
• Manage and update Jira tickets, resolve issues, and close tickets.
• Assist in annual inventory activities.
• Create and maintain system and network documentation.
• Manage and deploy SLURM and cluster management tasks.
• Build and manage enclaves.
• Experience with system hardware.
• Experience with NetBox.
• DevOps experience preferred.

Requirements

• Fifteen (15) years' experience as a System Administrator, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Experience with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
• Experience with Ubuntu.
• Familiar with System and Network security policies and able to implement policies.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Responsive to users.

Qualifications

• Required: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance.

Skills

• Experience with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
• Experience with Ubuntu.
• Familiar with System and Network security policies and able to implement policies.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
