System Administrator (High Performance Computing) with Security Clearance

About the role

We are seeking a System Administrator for a future funded role to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role involves managing IT system infrastructure and processes, providing tier 1 and tier 2 support, and assisting with the dispatch system and hardware issues.

Responsibilities

• Supports the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provides tier 1 and tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Assists users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
• Configures and manages Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.
• Implements operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or eight (8) years of system administration experience.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of system administration experience or eight (8) years experience in lieu of degree.
