Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day retail operations for feed, animal health, and related products at the location.
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner to understand needs, answer questions, and provide product support.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through timely service, follow-up, and knowledgeable recommendations.
- Maintain knowledge of products handled at the location and support customers with appropriate product information.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management to help ensure products are available to meet customer needs.
- Order products and coordinate replenishment to support retail operations and customer demand.
- Aid in stock additions and product updates in company systems, including Agris, as needed.
- Receive, organize, stock, and maintain feed, animal health, and related inventory in retail and warehouse areas.
- Operate a forklift and other equipment as needed to move, load, unload, and organize products safely and efficiently.
- Support warehouse operations at the location, including loading/unloading inventory and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Maintain and monitor quality and condition of inventory, including packaged and warehouse-stored products.
- Keep retail, warehouse, and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition through regular housekeeping and organization.
- Promptly report customer concerns, inventory issues, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure the location operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations.
- Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
- Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
- High School diploma or GED (preferred).
- CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement (preferred).
- Agriculture experience (preferred).
- Forklift certification (preferred).
