Expert, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
About the role
The position is for an Expert, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Andover, MA.
Responsibilities
- Automate infrastructure build-out with the philosophy of infrastructure as code in the azure landing zone.
- Answer technical questions related to azure infrastructure.
- Cook with other teams such as network, DNS, Active Directory during incidents.
- Contribute to root cause analysis document after any major incident.
- Proactively monitor to detect signs of any upcoming issues.
- Create alerts and corresponding Incident Response Plans, and, possibly, automated remediation.
- Liaise with Microsoft support when required.
- Address operational alerts detected by Microsoft such as capacity issues, vulnerability identified, unexpected failures, and so on.
- Liaise with subscription owner to get errors resolved.
- Scan existing azure landing zone subscription to identify any gap with Schneider Electric security posture including patch management.
Requirements
- Position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field and progressive, post-bachelor’s experience (3 years with Master’s or 5 years with Bachelor’s) in cloud infrastructure engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience or education in the following skills:
- Creating, managing, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure or AWS;
- Automating deployment of software artifacts to the cloud infrastructure using industry CI/CD tools;
- Engineering and operating IT Infrastructure solutions in cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure);
- Scripting and automating with Bash, PowerShell or Python;
- Cloud networking, including macro and micro-segmentation, Virtual Networks/VPCs, sub-netting, route tables, VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, IPsec, Load Balancing;
- Using Azure Landing Zone (CAF) and governance module.
Skills
Certification at any point in the past as one of the following required: AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate; AZ-700 Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate; or AZ-305 Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Pay
The expected base salary is $175,053.00 – $183,806.00 per year. Additional short-term incentive compensation is a typical part of our compensation structure and would be in addition to the above-stated range.
