About the role

Heatflow is seeking an Experimental Fluid Mechanics Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in two-phase flow and nozzle testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct experiments to test two-phase flow phenomena in various geometries.
  • Develop and analyze data from nozzle testing to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate experimental results into product development processes.
  • Write technical reports and present findings at internal meetings and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in experimental fluid mechanics, preferably in nozzle testing and two-phase flow.
  • Strong background in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
  • Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of experimental methods for measuring two-phase flow parameters.
  • Experience with high-pressure systems and nozzle testing equipment.
  • Understanding of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and its applications in experimental validation.

Pay
