About the role

VCA Coral Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are a 3-doctor full-service veterinary hospital located in Fort Myers, FL, serving birds, cats, dogs, pocket pets, and reptiles in Cape Coral, Sanibel, Captiva Islands, Fort Myers, and Estero, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Assist with anesthesia and surgery
• Perform radiology, dentistry, catheter placement, venipuncture, laboratory work, and pharmacy duties
• Manage medical records

Requirements

• Positive attitude and motivation
• Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work weekends

Qualifications

• Credential as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current state license (if applicable)
