About the role
VCA Durant Road Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The hospital is a 3-doctor full-service facility offering primary care, illness care, surgery, and dentistry services.
Responsibilities
- Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery
- Procedural anesthesia and monitoring
- IV fluid administration and CRI calculations
- Hands-free radiology and diagnostic imaging
- Client communications and discharge
Requirements
Candidates must be positive and motivated. The hospital encourages input from team members to foster growth and a supportive environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training. Knowledge of veterinary technician duties and responsibilities is essential.
Skills
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.

Pay
$17 - $20 /hr, based on skill set and experience.
Schedule
(5) 8 hour shifts, weekend rotation required.
